AL MALIKI was born in Nineteen Forty Eight, worked with several Arab and international institutions and Organizations in a number of Arab countries and in USA. He has been awarded B Sc. in Economics 1971, the Master then Ph.D 1979, and in 1986 was conferred upon higher Degree studies from University of Minnesota USA.

After graduation worked as lecturer and Asst. Prof. then Professor in the faculty of Economics in Damascus and Aleppo universities. Also worked as Head of the Economic, Social and Statistics Department in (ACSAD) one of the Arab League Organizations for ten years. Worked then as Prof. and training expert in the fields of management, scientific research and computer for five years with The Institute of Administration Development in UAE, and further five years with the Planning Department in Emirate of Abu Dhabi as research, information and studies expert.

Professor. AL MALIKI has trained and compilated many training packages and courses for the graduation and pre-graduation levels in the fields of management, social and economics statistics, mathematics, experiments design, biological statistics, science and technology statistics, econometrics, scientific research, computers, and quantative analysis. He has also designed and executed more than Two Hundred Training programs in these fields.

Prof. AL MALIKI has participated in constituting a number of training centres, and preparing the training plans and curriculum for some of them, e.g.:-

- The computer laboratories in The Administration Development Institute in UAE - 1992.

- Training centre for Ajman University College for Science and Technology - 1993.

- The training centre in the Organization & Administration Department in Emirate of Abu Dhabi (established the first training plan for the Department) - 1993.

- Middle East Management and Economics Training Centre in Abu Dhabi (ECOMAN) - 1996.

- ICTD The International Centre For Training & Development in Abu Dhabi (established the management training plans, the Arabic version); design, management and supervision, within the period (1999 - 2002).

Prof. AL MALIKI has prepared in excess of One Hundred studies and researches in the field of training, economics, sociology and work force, and has supervised more than One Hundred Seventy Five researches in the same fields of study, and has executed a large number of training programs in UAE and other Arab and Gulf countries, and many consultancies and projects in the management and statistical fields.

Prof. AL MALIKI also has; on assignment many of the UN Organizations and the Arab League Organizations, executed many technical and consultance tasks in favour of the GCCC and most of the other Arab Countries, some of these organizations are:-

He has also participated and taken part in about Fifty International Scientific Conference on the Arab and regional level, and in about Forty workshops in some of the USA universities, and he has been a permanent member in both the permanent technical and subsidiary commission of statistics meetings in the Secretariat General of Arab League and the Arab Economic Unity Council, and a member of the Higher Commission for the Development Program in Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Least and not last; he has designed and supervised a number of economic / social surveys on the regional and national level like Al Hammad Area Economic & Social Survey; an area located on the combined boundaries of Syria, Jordan, KSA and Iraq. Another is the Water falls population & Desert Creeping Fighting for all Arab countries, in addition to four social / economic national surveys for Emirate of Abu Dhabi; which are: Workforce Survey, household Survey, Commercial Survey and the Industrial Survey, within the period (1995 - 2005).
